How it works

You could be 3 simple steps away from getting compensation.

1

Find Agreements

Use our Agreement Finder. It's free¹ to use, only takes 60 seconds to complete and will find all car finance agreements since 2007.

2

Our Experts Get To Work

Your claim is prepared and submitted by expert legal professionals, who will handle the claim from start to finish.

3

Payout

If your claim(s) are successful, your compensation will be transferred promptly to a bank account of your choice.

Why you may qualify for compensation.

  • Hidden Commissions

Lenders often paid brokers undisclosed commissions for placing you on higher interest rates.

  • Lack of Transparency

If you weren't told about the commission, the agreement could be considered unfair under FCA rules.

  • Potential Lender Liability

Recent court decisions have opened the door for consumers to challenge how their finance was sold.

  • FCA Intervention

The Financial Conduct Authority is actively investigating these practices to ensure consumers are repaid.

General Information

You do not need a solicitors firm to pursue a car finance complaint. You can complain to your lender yourself for free and, if you are unhappy with the outcome, refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

We will seek the maximum compensation, but cannot guarantee a better result than handling the complaint yourself.

The FCA has confirmed an industry-wide motor finance redress scheme, but parts of it are suspended while legal challenges are decided. This is likely to delay the resolution of claims and the payment of any redress due.

1 Free check or free agreement finder refers only to the soft-credit check completed to identify your car finance agreements. If you provide instruction to proceed with a claim(s) on your behalf fees will apply.

3 Claims eligible between 6th April 2007 and 1st November 2024.

4 Successful claims are not guaranteed. The FCA scheme suggests a 40% success rate and actual compensation amounts will vary.

* Our No Win No Fee Pledge Where No Win, No Fee is offered - You pay nothing unless your claim is successful. A fee between 18 - 36% applies on successful claims (fee dependant on level of redress secured), and a cancellation fee may apply outside the 14 day cooling-off period and where you bring a duplicate claim (you make a claim with more than one provider for the same claim).

£2,014.47 average payout value is an estimate and is not indicative of a guaranteed compensation amount. Following the Financial Conduct Authority's motor finance consumer redress scheme (PS26/3) published in March 2026, they now estimate that most individuals will probably receive around £829 in compensation per successful claim where Discretionary Commission Arrangements or other unfair practices occurred. https://www.fca.org.uk/news/statements/fca-confirms-motor-finance-redress-scheme. From credit report data we find on average 2.43 car finance agreements per client, giving a potential total payout of £2,014.47 per client (2.43 × £829), as of 15/04/2026.
